STRENGHT · POWER · ENDURANCE
Regarding self-defense, another of the most important concepts that a Krav Maga practitioner should understand is the distinction and use of concepts such as strength, power, and speed.
These are different concepts that, if well understood and properly utilized, can complement each other, contributing to effective self-defense. However, if not, they can compromise the effectiveness of self-defense.
Furthermore, in this self-defense method, as well as the technical and didactic aspects instilled in students, a good instructor also needs to create physical and psychological stress exercises that bring the student, as much as possible, into the mental and physical state they will inevitably be in in a real-life situation, in the face of any aggression or threat. This method of learning is one of the factors that enables a Krav Maga student to become effective in self-defense in such a short period of time. Therefore, and as we have seen in this Manual, basic knowledge of how the human body works becomes essential for a good instructor, better to explore their students, or to do so safely.
