In this lesson, we begin to address situations where the attacker has already grabbed our clothing, either by the lapel or in the chest area.
We can consider different types of holds depending on the degree of aggression we detect in our opponent.
In this case, we will act gently, since we believe the attacker is calm and we can defend ourselves without causing too much damage.
We call this technique «helix,» due to the type of movement we will perform with our arm.
STEPS
- Neutral position.
- Raise the arm on the same side of the grip, keeping your elbow bent.
- Now bring your biceps closer to your ear.
- Lower your elbow with your arm vertical, slightly rotating your torso inward.
- After this movement, take a diagonal step to get out of the attacker’s line.
In this way you will have managed to release the grip and gained some distance from the opponent.
