The front kick is a classic in many combat systems. We strike with the metatarsal in vulnerable areas at various heights, depending on the practitioner’s skill. We can strike at a medium height (stomach) and cause damage as well as destabilize the opponent. If we are physically fit, we can strike at the aggressor’s face (although this is not necessary in Krav Maga).
This kick is often used to initiate a chain attack from long distance.
